Journeying through the fallacy of time man consistently crosses milestones embracing ‘the new’, a new year, wearing out the old, often decorating it with hopes and resolutions. The advent of a ‘new year’ thus becomes a joyous occasion for the man, a ‘timely’ celebration reminding him of the value of priceless time. In Prasanthi Nilayam too, the New Year is welcomed with much gusto, often mixed with a taste unusually different. Here, the celebration echoes the timeless message of ‘The Master Supreme’ Who walked the planet exhorting man to cross the hurdle of time, into timelessness.
Ringing in 2020, the epochal New Year that also marks the commencement of a new decade, grateful alumni from Bhagawan’s ‘primary’ and ‘higher-secondary’ school joined in unison this New Year eve at the Sanctum Sanctorum presenting a unique evening of ‘Prema Bandham’.
Titled ‘Love Is My Form’, the presentation this evening was a mix of band, music and a drama offering.
Vedic invocation at 1640 hrs. chanting sacred Medha Suktam set the proceedings on for the auspicious evening. A series of flowery offerings followed before an introductory talk by one of the grateful alumna. Recalling the nostalgic beauty of the days at the portals of their hallowed alma mater, the speaker identified value-based teachings as the highlight of their stay with Bhagawan that always stand them in good stead.
Calling it ‘Home Coming’, the grateful alumnae flowed on with twin songs next, ‘Mere Maula Karam ho Karam…’ and ‘Brahmamokkade…’. Alumnae Bagpiper Band, of ‘Swami’s Primary School’, played a short stint of Prasanthi tunes next recalling the nostalgic beauty of playing for The Master. Group serenading continued with another number ‘Jab Koi Baath Bigad Jaye…Jab Koi Mushkil Pad Jaye…’ before the final drama presentation, ‘Love Is My Form’.
Set in the backdrop of ‘Anandapura’, wish fulfilling temple of Lord Krishna, the drama fulfils a mystery question set by Narada Muni to Lord Narayana, as to Which of His Avataric form is closer to Him. The Lord takes blessed Narada for a tour through His Rama and Krishna forms before coming up with His revealing answer. The Lord finally reveals that Love Is His chosen Form! Portraying a selfless ideal devotee by name ‘Krishnadas’ who pines for His Darshan, but loves to have it not as he wishes, but only if He, His Lord, wishes to grant the same, the drama cascading through episodes from Mahabharata and Ramayana, showcases what selfless devotion is, that is nothing but Love! Don’t just love to live, live to love, and Live The Love, echoes Lord Narayana, imparting Divine Wisdom.
With Bhagawan’s mellifluous eternal voice resounding the spacious Sai Kulwant Hall, the presentation ended at a nostalgic note, singing Prasanthi’s evergreen song of love, ‘Hum Ko Tumse Pyaar Kitna…’. The catchy refrain ‘We Love You…” echoed the Prasanthi precincts, filling and fulfilling hearts many on the auspicious New Year eve.
Bhajans continued and the session came to a close with Mangala Arathi offering to Bhagawan.
Welcome Sai-Full Prasanthi 2020!!!
